Owner Antonio Garcia opened Tarascos in order to share with guests the recipes that had been in his family for generations. His Restaurant made its Silver Lade debut in in 2008, and it’s been winning over the appetites of locals ever since. Raved BLOGGING.LA, “Tarascos is a very pleasing, minimalist taquería. No obnoxious sombreros hanging from the ceiling or mariachi crooners hovering over your guacamole. You walk into a small foyer and order at the counter. The menu is handwritten on chalkboards…and the prices are minimalist, too!” Meanwhile, using such words as “zesty,” “ambrosial,” and “full-bodied,” DINING IN LA concluded, “Antonio Garcia has created an enticing destination.” Still, perhaps this online fan put it best, “Silver Lake’s best Mexican! A mix of super veggies, great quality meat, and more of a healthy approach to your fav Mex dishes…Instead of grease, they use a ton of fresh veggies.” The menu features scratch-made Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Tortas, Tamales, Salads, Huaraches, Barbacoa Plate, Nachos, Pozole, Seafood Fish Tacos, Fried Fish Mojarra Frita and Veggie Plates, plus an All-Day Breakfast Menu such as Huevos Rancheros, Huevos a la Mexicana, Breakfast Enchiladas, Breakfast Burritos, Chilaquiles. The eats are super. The patio is divine. So order at the counter and then grab a seat outside.
